Alhambra Theatre is celebrating 'Mid Life'!

Even is you haven’t experienced some of the dilemmas that plague the elderly; if you are fortunate to live long enough - you might go through a few things like the cast of Mid-Life! The Crisis Musical portrays with song and dance.  The Alhambra Theatre & Dining is reminding us of some of life’s distractions that may come upon us Baby Boomers such as: The Empty Nest, AARP eligibility, Botox injections, Forgetfulness, STD’s, Prostrate Exams, Bladder Leakage, Alzheimers, Menopause, Turning 50 years of age, and other subjects that life has to offer.

This is a show for all ages (some things may go-over the heads of the young) that will have you laughing in the aisles.  The fact remains…if you get old (mature), you will be able to identify.

The six membered cast consists of familiar seasoned actors/actresses of the Alhambra and newcomer Brian Simmons* (Man 1).  Kudos for Patti Eyler* (Woman 1), Michael Strauss* (Man 2), Lisa Valdini* (Woman 2), Mark Poppleton* (Man 3) and Becky Baxter* (Woman 3) who carry the show throughout the performance.  These people will keep you entertained for the afternoon or evening shows.  * Denotes Actors Equity Association*

Special accolades go out to Jacksonville’s native Pianist - Anthony Felton, who supplies LIVE music for the entire musical.

The meal is also delicious especially a healthy portion of Chef D’s Slow Roasted Prime Rib, served how you would like it cooked.  This writer thoroughly enjoyed the Fried Seafood Platter served with fries, slaw, hushpuppies and citrus tartar sauce.

This is a wonderful show to share with your siblings, parents or close associates.  Grab your tickets before they run out.
