“But be ye doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves” (James 1:22). You’ve got to be a team player when you sign up to be on the Lord’s team, if you want to carry the ball. If God desires you to witness (tell of the Good News) to someone, you’ve got to be a willing and yielding vessel. You’ve got to go and do whatever it may be. Ecclesiastes 9:10 also points out that we should do that which our Father would have for us to do. “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.” (If that one was too rough for you, you may want to read another translation, but it’s still the Bible anyway you read it).
