Welcome Little One

“She smells so good!” I can put Johnson’s Baby lotion ™ on me and ‘blah’, but on Serenity it is better than any of my fine expensive perfumes. Having a baby around again is so sweet.
Serenity Danielle is our first grandchild and she is a blessing from our Lord. She’s only a little over a week old but she’s such an advanced child and I’m not being prejudice. This baby took to breast feeding as if it was her only means of nourishment (oops – it is ;). I know that people brag about their children and grandchildren, but she ‘coos’ instead of crys. Her disposition is very peaceful as her name implies. We’ve only seen a tear in her eyes a couple of times and the problem be it poop, pee, a bubble, or a need to snuggle – she’s the focus at that time. No, I am not yearning for another child myself (no Immaculate Conception here) because I am thankful that my factory is still closed while the playground remains open.

Well, I must get back to (or should I say that, “I desire to get back to”) my writing and having a baby in the home is a soothing, calming experience to the spirit, soul and body. Enjoy your pre-holiday festivities and stay Blessed to Be a Bigger Blessing.

Family Addition

Our church family (Faith Christian Center in Jacksonville, Fl.) has designated 2008 to be the year of the “Fullness of the Blessing”.

Our most recent blessing is our Grand daughter:

Serenity Danielle
(Peaceful Disposition – God is my only judge)

Born on Friday November 28, 2008; weighing in at 6 lbs-10 oz. and measuring 19.5 in. in length. She received a perfect “10” on her “Apgar” score (see www.ask.com ).

Please click on the Kodak site below to see some pics.
Serenity Danielle's Pictures

Tonya and baby are doing great. They will stay in Jacksonville, Fl. with grandparents and great-grandparents for a little while. If you would like to see more pictures and read her Blog, go to my myspace page (via. Ms."V" website) and click on Tonya’s page.

Thank you for all of your prayers and gifts (Hey Loretta, Vanessa, JR. and her Largo friends). God has been so good to us and you’ll find out more when you read my next book.

My books are still a priority, but they had to be pushed back a little (still aiming for 2008 – it ain’t over yet ;)

Have a great week and I will check my websites at least once a week. If you need me sooner, please email me direct or go directly to my website.

Continue to Be Blessed in order to Be a Bigger Blessing

Greetings ;)

If you’re reading this, then you are one of my faithful reading partners. I have enjoyed sharing the thoughts that I’ve been inspired to give to you. My hopes are that they were a help and not a hindrance.

Since my Granddaughter is due around the end of the month, and we’re getting ready to launch two books; I won’t be posting my Blog every week. I will continue to answer your questions as I have (it may take me a little longer, but I’m faithful). You will still be able to view my Archive Blogs on all my sites, especially my website (and I’ll add more from the ones that were posted on Myspace) Ms. V's website

Please keep coming to my website and you’ll know when & where to get my new books (and you’ll be impressed with the material ;) Stay in touch and know that you’re never a bother. Have a Great Thanksgiving, and a very Merry Christmas and I’ll hopefully see you at one of my book signing. Remember, Jesus is thinking of you and so am I.

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Phil. 4:7

“Excuse Me, No, Excuse Me”

As we eagerly embrace this holiday season, let’s take a look at some things around us, and how we may diffuse (put out) fires before they ever start.

“Let’s go shopping”. A whole book can be written about the etiquette of the retail world. Allow me to begin with space. There are crowds everywhere; the malls, the grocery store, restaurants, and even in the street. People are seeking bargains and the “GI Joe with the Kung Fu grip” (did they ever make such a toy?). Money may be tight, problems still find their way into our lives, but we’ve got to remember that it’s the main season for caring, thoughtfulness and love. Yes, it is Jesus’ birthday and He is the reason for the season. With that being said, let me help you a little bit.

Shopping can be a ruthless job. If there’s only one size 10 red sweater in that particular style, and you & Ms. Molly have your hands on it – give it to Ms. Molly because God’s got a better sweater for you at a lower price and at a different store.

If you have time, I’ve posted three pics on my page, about this next subject, “Crowded stores, strollers & shopping carts (see Childless Wheels). What’s this all about you ask? It’s about children being carried by their Mama’s and their strollers are being pushed into your path - if not over your toes. When there are large crowds in tight places, please be thoughtful. If you have a need to get out of the house with your children, please feed them, put them down for a nap and make sure they know that they’re not going to the playground, but to a store. Remind me later to talk about Massachuttes and how they want to abolish parents spanking their children.

For all of my fellow salespeople, this one’s for you. Stores do not have built-in “maids”. If you take clothes into a dressing room, don’t throw the clothes on the floor. Hang them back on the hanger. The salesperson is not your Mama, Wife or Flunkey. And please, treat the salesperson the way you would want to be treated. Be Kind.

You’ve probably heard about this one in church; be considerate when you drive. Watch out for the other person. Drive defensively! Leave early and take your time. You are probably just as surprised as I am to notice how many people’s turn signals don’t work. Pray that those persons get new bulbs for those lights and that they’ll begin to use that little lever on the steering wheel.

So until next week, let’s keep the phrase, “Merry Christmas” flowing in the air. Love ya’ll.

“We’re Just So Thankful”

Give Thanks with a grateful heart
Give Thanks to the Holy One
Give Thanks because He’s given
Jesus Christ, His Son.

And now let the weak say, “I am strong”.
Let the poor say, “I am rich because of what the Lord has done for us”. Give Thanks.

By Henry Smith

We need to take the time just to say, “Thank you”. “Thank You Jesus”. Thank God for sending Georgia the rain it needed (II Ch. 7:14). Thanks to Lady who always smiles at you and say, “Good Morning”. Thanks to Your Spouse for putting up with you (I didn’t call any names). Thanks to that person who blessed you when you didn’t expect it. The list should be endless. Let’s take some time each and every day to “Give Thanks”. THANKS-DANKE-MERCI-GRACIAS

Traditionalism

“You have to begin today to create your own past”. A pronounce, but true statement: Every day you can choose how your history will read in the future; to your children and to others who you influence.

It’s alright if you choose to use Aunt Trudy’s recipe for stuffing, and it will still be Thanksgiving if there’s no ham, but you can also start your own way of doing things (it would just be un-American not to have a turkey). Dare to be different and make a positive difference. 

“God has promised it, we’re standing on His Word. We thank God continually for our FAITH in Him, and all that He has done”.

Thanks to everyone who gave a comment to last week’s blog. It was a great response on all the blogging sites that I post to.

“Post Election Thoughts” (It’s All God [Good]!)

An excerpt from the book “If My People…” by Jack Countryman states:

“…Never-ending prayer has always brought the presence of God. How vast are the possibilities when we pray! Prayer is a wonderful power placed by the Almighty God into the hands of His saints. When we humbly seek His face in prayer, He is moved to act on our behalf and accomplish His desires for us.”

We’ve prayed to God and we did what II Chron. 7:14 instructed us to do. We’ve done our part and now it’s up to God to do His part. “It ain’t over” yet.

But wait; we still have something to do. “We Thank You God for placing the man in office who will (with Your guidance) make a positive change in our nation and those countries who will come in contact with we the people of the United States.” “We thank you that perversion of sexes is not going to be legalized in most states.” “We thank you for gas prices that have come down and continue to decline.”

Now we need to continue to pray for our leaders (yes, even if your candidate did not get elected). We need to continually pray, in thanksgiving and supplication, for those who have been placed in authority over us as a nation. When we do this – we will be a blessed people and nation.

“Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen and you will find life. I will make an everlasting covenant with you. I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David. See how I used him to display my power among the peoples. I made him a leader among the nations. You also will command nations you do not know, and peoples unknown to you will come running to obey, because I, the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, have made you glorious.” (Ish.55; 3-5)

Have a great week and let me hear from you.

You go to contact one of your Credit Card Agencies and you’re having a tough time. They ask you for your 12 digit account number. Save yourself some time: Do not put that number in. Either put in all 0’s or another number 12 times. Reason being, all they’re going to do is ask you for your number again once you get a real person. Also, if you call an automated system and the system prompts you to press #1 for …, #2 for … etc.; either press “0” or say, “assistance” or “associate”. Repeat these procedures until you get a ‘human voice’ on the line.

Newsy Not Nosey

Christians! Get your heads out of the sand. Be aware. Get involved. Know what your city and government are standing for. Know what the schools are teaching and/or telling your children. It’s amazing to me how few parents show up when there’s a parent/teacher meeting. Find out what’s happening around this nation. God wants us aware and ready for whatever may come. It’s sad to think that some people won’t know that Jesus came back to earth until later on because they don’t listen to any news programs. The rapture will have occurred, and they’ll still be asking, “Whatever happened to Pete and Jan? Oh, didn’t you listen to the news or read the paper? Jesus came back last week.”

I recall a true story that happened to my family and me while we were stationed in Germany. One night while we were sleeping, there was a small earthquake, which woke us but didn’t alarm us. My husband and I turned over and went back to sleep. In Germany, you had one telephone for the house, and ours was in the living room. The next day, some friends of ours told us that after they felt the earthquake (since earthquakes were unusual for Germany), they got up and called the pastor of our church. No answer. They called us. We didn’t hear the phone, and our children were sound sleepers. Our friends finally reached another couple they knew to be saved and living a holy Christ-like life. Our friends were so relieved to speak with the other saved couple, because our friends thought that the rapture had come and they were left behind here on earth. The whole situation was funny, but these friends of ours were saved, spirit-filled saints who were concerned about their future, as we too should be concerned. “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God; and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?” (I Pet. 4:17-18). We have to stay well informed to do that which the Lord would have us to do. Instead of talking about nothing, we should start reading and discussing something.

When I was younger, I didn’t like to read. I couldn’t stand reading a book unless it was a comic book. Now that I’ve matured, I always have something that I am reading. Either by information from a news program or by studying; I always try to stay informed.

Who Do YOU Trust?

Who Do You Trust?

By Ms. “V” (Victoria Thomas Poller)
(Reposted from May 23, 2008)

You may think that the New Testament people were living in Perilous Times (see 2 Tim. 3:1 – more to say on this scripture at another time – soon); well, let me tell you that those times are here right now; just like other things have developed in our lifetimes. There were times when a loaf of bread was $1.00 (I can even recall when the loaves were longer & cheaper [less expensive]). I’m quite sure you’ve seen Birthday Cards, emails & commentaries that reminded you of the ‘Good Ole Days’.

Ecclesiastes 1:4, 9-11 (did you grab your Bible?) Some people (even the unsaved) don’t want to use the word “Recession”. They say that we’re not quite there; almost, but not quite. I guess they’re ‘speaking positively’, like the Bible teaches – that we can have ‘whatsoever’ we say (Mark 11:23).

Well, let’s go back in history just a little bit, to that era called “The Depression”. People were going through ‘perilous’ or tough times then (you can research your history).

My point is, “We, who believe in God and what He can and will do for us, need to put our trust in Him and relax (2 Tim. 1:7 thank God that we have power, love & the mind of Christ). We must continue to Trust – Believe & Receive from God. Let me tell you; He supplies all my needs {Phil.4:19} (and some of my wants too). He rewards those who keep Him first (Heb. 11:6 - you still don’t have you Bible out?).

In these last days (call them what you may), God is still in control – if we allow Him to be. We can’t fix it (and if we choose the wrong presidential candidate or don’t vote at all), and neither can they try to help fix it (inflated gas prices, health care, wars, unemployment, violence, the economy, hunger, social security etc., etc., etc.) - (now, Where Did That Come From?).

We’re all in God’s hands. I have recently been standing on Phil. 4:8. I have to keep my focus on the positive things around me; otherwise I can worry myself, and those around me, to be ‘sick & tired’. Sure, negative things are all around us (it’s in ‘The Book’, and the final chapter says, “We Win”), yet we can choose how we handle our circumstances. Just watch me live out James 2:18 NAS “But someone may well say, ‘You have faith and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works’”.

One of my works is, my ‘Trust in God’ (remind me later to talk about the new gold dollar coins). I may not be E.F. Hutton but hopefully when I talk, people will listen.

Let me hear from you. ;) How are you trusting God?www.victoriapoller.com

“What Did I Forget?”

Four Reasons Why I Might Forget Something:
1. My mind is crammed with other things
2. My mind is getting more mature and full of information
3. I had a ‘brain dump’
4. I chose to forget
Whatever the reason – I’m sorry I forgot. Please forgive me, leave me a note, and remind me where I put the note when I don’t respond back to you right away. Forgive The Forgetful – He did!!!
Phil. 1:3 “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you”
Phil. 2:5 “I Do Have the Mind of Christ”

(That was suppose to be a little funny and encourage everyone ;)

(This was given to me this morning 9/18/08)
If someone “does you wrong” don’t be so ready to “delete” that person out of your life. Go to that person and try to get an understanding first (Proverbs 3:13; 4:7; 16:16 & 19:8 Bible reading time ;). “This is what I heard you say, is that what you meant?”

Usually there is some miscommunication between what you heard and what was said. Everybody’s not out to shock you with a “cattle prod” (a word for all my friends out west) or a “taser”. “Prov. 4:7 “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding”

Be Blessed & I’ll type you next week.

Speak Up So I Can Hear You

As you can see (check it out), the response from last weeks Blog was great. Now let’s keep the momentum going.

A skin care commercial uses a student to stand up and boast to a person getting ready to make a speech: “If you want to relax – you can picture me naked”. Are you kidding? Notable Public Speakers don’t use this tactic to move themselves into a comfort zone. If you attempt this stunt, what you’re really doing is giving the enemy an open door to your mind (Eph. 4:27).

If you have trouble speaking in front of people, try doing some of the following:
1. Look right above the heads of your audience or towards the back of the room.
2. Find some people in the crowd who smile back at you (this gives positive re-inforcement and keeps you from looking at negative people).
3. Know that the Holy Spirit has got ‘yo’ back. (If you don’t have Him in your life – ya better invite Him in).
4. Make note cards, keep eye contact with your listeners and smile (don’t grin ;)
5. Believe in yourself. You have the mind of Christ and you can do all things through Christ, which strengthens you. You’re the Bomb!!!
6. If you can, take a course in Public Speaking and further empower yourself.
I believe in you, now it’s your turn to believe in yourself. Continue to let me hear from you. See you next week, and the Lord is willing ;)

This May Be Your Space, But It Was Entitled “Myspace”

Riddle me this: “Why do some people have so many friends on their “Social Network Pages”, especially if they’re not in the public eye? Is it because they want to see how many people they can accumulate?

When someone requests to be ‘my friend’, I usually will go to their site to see what they’re about. Friends should have common interests. For example: You may have known me a long time ago, you may have lost track of me, we have a mutual friend, you want to know more about God, or you may have a Spiritual Need; now we share a “point of interest”.

There are also so many ‘community groups’ that are popping up that it is impossible to join all of them. I’m associated with “Writers Interrupted” because we share a common thread – we like to write & we assist one another. “Shoutlife” is were I post Blogs to help others (there are 3 or 4 people who I actually know). And then there’s “MySpace”.Most of the people on my page I know or I’ve come to know. I don’t have many celebrities in my circle unless I want to learn from them; and believe it or not, I do pray for those on “My Space”, my Web Site and WI. Wouldn’t it be nice if people, who ask to be your friend, would convey what they want to bring to the table, such as: information, prayer, advice, wisdom, encouragement, knowledge, assistance, getting to know you etc. Some people may even just enjoy reading my weekly Blogs. Don’t get me wrong – I appreciate friendship, but not to the point of solicitation.

My friends, old and new, are dear to me. I may not hear from them everyday, or every week, or maybe only once a month; but when I do hear from them, it’s a time that I enjoy. When I see their message in my ‘in box’ or see that they posted a Bulletin (or two); I want to see what they have to say.

The old adage, “Absence makes the heart grow fonder”, is true. When I don’t see any bulletins or messages from my friends; I pray. I pray in the Holy Spirit. I don’t know what may be the matter with them (busy because they’re doing great, or there may be a slump in their achievements, or they may need encouragement), but I pray and send a message if I am prompted to.

Some ‘bulletins’ are like ‘pop-ups’. There may be 7 or 8 advertisements of pass-it-on’s a day, by the same person. By the time I see my other friends, I have to go back 4 or 5 pages. So, like the commercial, from r the Ad Counsel on TV states: “I’m going to have to block you” (not right away). Maybe I’ve answered my own question. What do you think? Why do random people ask to be your friend on these “Social Networks”, if they don’t have a common bond? Let me hear your answers, please, and I hope I haven’t stepped on any toes.

What Tropical Storm?

Survivor by Destiny’s Child: “I’m a survivor. I’m not gon give up. I’m not gon stop. I’m gon work harder. I’m a survivor. I’m gonna make it. I will survive. Keep on survivin’.

It’s been a few months since I updated you on “Life With the Poller’s”; nevertheless, we’ve weathered the storm and we’re going to keep trusting in God. Since I’m writing this Blog, I’ll call it the way I saw it. To me it was “Hurricane Fay” and not just, what some people might call a little “Tropical Storm”. It wasn’t ‘just a little anything’ – it was large, yet the Almighty Arms of God protected us. He gave us such a wonderful peace (Phil. 4:7) that the world just doesn’t understand. Now let me tell you about “Fay”.

Today (Mon. Aug. 25th) you would have never thought that last week was so devastating. The clouds are billowy against a blue background, the sun is trying to peek past the pillows of white and things are almost back to usual except for the clean-up and yes, more rain. Considering the entire week – it went by quickly, yet it was rough. Van & I survived with no hurt, harm or danger.

On Mon. Aug. 18th we saw that a storm was approaching from the south of Florida. Tuesday, we were prepared (food, water, cash, etc.).

Wednesday was like the “Forrest Gump” movie: “Little bitty stingin' rain... and big ol' fat rain. Rain that flew in sideways. And sometimes rain even seemed to come straight up from underneath.” – and the winds began to pick up strength too. Schools were closed and so were most businesses.

Thursday we received word that most of the bridges around town were ‘closed’ and we were advised by officials to remain indoors if it were not necessary for you to go out. Our Pastor also used wisdom, and evening services were cancelled. The rains continued and the winds ranged from 45 – 50 mph. Our 27 ft. RV ‘wobbled’, yet it withstood the mighty gusts. There is a tree (about 15 ft. tall) whose branches beat all night upon our temporary home. The RV actually saved the tree from being uprooted. The power glitched off & on most of the night and finally — “lights out”. We now had to endure the inconvenience of a “power outage” throughout the night. Oh, the things one takes for granted everyday when we use electricity. Forget about a fancy hairstyle - break out the grease, pull back the hair and slap on that pony-tail [that was purchased a short while ago ‘for such a time as this’] (my husband dislikes me wearing wigs, but he is being sweet about the necessary transformation).

We borrowed a portable generator on Friday and decided to stay in the RV Park with our dog, Pugsley.

Saturday was good. Even though the power was still off, the wind had died down and the rain was not as severe. We went out to assess some of the damage and wow; God was with us. Right outside the RV Park power lines were down & trees were out of the ground. We were safe and there was no flooding in the park (“…it shall not come nigh thee” Ps. 91:7). We had air, lights, and all the luxuries except for the Internet and cable. We played cards with each other and enjoyed being in each other’s company. We had survived “Fay” by the grace of God.

Sunday, we were in the home of Our God to give Him all the praise, as we (along with a larger than usual attendance – just like after “911”) gathered together to celebrate how God had brought us through It’s back to work for everyone and we will continue to pray for those who are still out of power and still dealing with flooding. Thank you Jesus for Is. 26:3 (“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”) Amen.

Praying For Someone You Know

(Neither Hurricane nor winds, nor rain will keep this Blog from being posted – In Jesus name. It is well with our Spirit. Amen! VP)

Praying For Someone You Know

Have you ever passed a sign on the street or a landmark (Dunker Slownuts, McDougals, Burger Queen, Fifth Church on the Move, Blue Dog Bus Terminal, or The Sunrise Café); and you begin to think of a person from long ago? Hopefully it is a fond memory. A simile comes upon your face and for a moment, you’re transported back in time to that very person who was able to make you laugh when you needed to see a smiling face. When that time comes, and we’ve experienced the joy of the moment, what do we do next?

Take time to say a prayer for that person. We don’t usually know why God would trigger them into out recollection, but could this be a time for intercession on that person’s behalf? They could be in danger or just need you to request their Ministering Angels (Guardian Angels) to “Go” and assist your friend in their time of need. Your dear friend may need God to issue a “hedge of protection” over their lives. All God was waiting for was someone to ‘step up to the plate’ and ask Him to Stop By.

“To Our Men & Women In Uniform”

For all the men and women who never got a chance to receive a ‘heart-felt thanks’ for serving in the military, risking their lives, having to live with the memories of hurt and pain; allow me to take a little time to say, “Thank You”.

To all you Veteran’s from past and present wars – “Thank You”. For those of you who have received the letter from our government stating, “We wish to inform you…” – Thank You. To all the men & women who leave their own families back home to defend the land that we stand on and love – “Thank You”. For the times that you were too hot, to cold, too wet; too scared, too lonely, too overburdened and too homesick; please accept my sincere – “Thank You”.

No one may have greeted you at the airport when you returned home battered and worn – “Thank You”. When there was no party thrown in you honor – “Thank You”.

When you think that no one really cares, know this: Jesus just gave me the permission to let you know that you have not been forgotten. You are a celebrated hero and not just a tolerated soldier.

You are victorious. You are appreciated. You are on our minds and in our prayers, so please, allow us to say — “THANK YOU”!!!!!

(I regret being late this week. It’s been a jammed-packed week. Our dog Pugsley had surgery on an infected anal sac. He’s much better. I’m getting ready for my 5yr. Colonoscopy [fun, fun]. Internet communications are growing, books are making progress, my Palm Pilot crashed [thank God for backup systems], and life goes on.) It’s all good ;)

Be Encouraged

Online & Hard copy Christian Magazines – Please, allow me to ‘lay a little wisdom’ on you. Early this past Wed. morning, I grabbed pen & pencil to jot this information down:

Whatever you are going through, know that God is there with you (“For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” Ps. 30:5).

It may seem that you’re going through tough times right now, but “hang in there” help is on the way.

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” I Cor. 25:58. “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Joshua 1:9.

Until next week

Trust – Believe - Receive

Yours in Christ,

Relocation Update – Florida/ July 08

Have you asked your friends how they’re doing lately? Please allow me to “Thank you” right now for all of your prayers.

Van & I are more in love today than we were yesterday. Father God is with us continually and His Holy Spirit gives us peace & joy, in Jesus’ name. We are continually being blessed and Thanking Him daily for His Grace (unmerited favor).

Here are a few hurdles that we’re conquering, and all the Glory goes to God:

Ø No, our house in New Mexico has not sold as of this writing, but watch God.
Ø Yes, we are prepared to purchase a home here in FL. Even though we have two households that we are maintaining, Jehovah Jireh is our source.
Ø Yes, our children & parents are closer to us, and they are receiving encouragement to Trust-Believe and Receive from God.
Ø Yes, gas is high, yet our supplier is in the oil business.
Ø Yes, we’ve found a great place to be ‘Spiritually Fed’, and we are getting ready to help out when we’ve completed our classes.
Ø Yes, my teeth are getting straighter with my braces.
Ø Yes, my face and neck are clearing up meanwhile my body is getting accustomed to the climate and locale. I am healed!!!
Ø Yes, my books are coming out this fall, and you’ll be impressed. Have you seen the website that Van created? www.victoriapoller.com. It’s HOT!!
Ø Yes, I continually study & research the scriptures, and submit articles to online magazines monthly and quarterly.
Ø Yes, our nation seems like it’s “going to hell in a hand-basket” (Where Did That Come From?”) yet, we have the power to change things through prayer (II Ch. 7:14)
Ø Yes, we’re able to pay our tithes and give offerings every week, thank God.
Ø Yes, we still have household chores even if the house isn’t that big (going to the Laundromat, washing the 5th wheel etc.).
Ø Yes, I still exercise daily by walking the dog three times a day ;)

This is not an “Oh, Woe is Me” Blog, but these things had to be told to show you how God can, and will deliver His people in the midst of change. If we can ‘go through’, then so can you. It was written for someone out there, who needs to know that Our God is not a respecter of anyone. Rom. 2:11. He delivers.

Until next week, continue to Be Blessed to Be a Bigger Blessing.

Come Celebrate With Me ;)

“Latest Article Submissions from& Review posted for Ms. “V”: The Destination Christian Magazine Online & Mused * BellaOnline Literary Review. Invitation to her new website too: www.victoriapoller.com What’s some of the books that Ms. “V” has read? Shelfari bookshelf has them.

The Destination! - About Us

The Destination Magazine was founded in 2003 by Daniel Kashif for Believers to share their testimonies, miracles, messages, visions and personal experiences gained in their walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Daniel's vision is that God's people will draw closer to Him, that those who have fallen away will be reminded that God loves them and to remind them that God is not angry at them, that He earnestly desires their presence in that day when He takes up His own.

The Destination Magazine is for Christians and non-Christians who have many questions or confusion in regard to God, their walk with the Lord, Christianity or other life issues. Our goal is to help them find answers to their questions, to remove their confusion and to point them to the One (Jesus Christ) Who alone can bring them to the place He has destined for them.

Our BellaOnline website is a training ground and educational system designed to help over 400 writers at a time learn these skills. This was a wonderful beginning for us, but we wanted to reach more people. There have always been many applicants for each open editor position at BellaOnline, and we've had to turn away writers with wonderful ideas and interesting stories. Mused - the BellaOnline Literary Review allows us to promote a wider audience of writers, and also to help writers who are not interested in writing on a weekly schedule.Mused is registered with the US Library of Congress:Online HTML edition - 1941-6040Print PDF edition - 1941-6032

“Can’t Stop Praising His Name”

“To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.” I Cor. 9:22

“Christian Youth Groups”, “Praise Teams”, “Rappers for Christ”, “Stomp or Stepping Teams”, “Dance or Mime Groups”; no matter what avenue God may have for the Praise & Worship that young people use to adore and honor Him – It’s all Good! We all need to give today’s style of Christian Music a chance.

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
Phil.4: 8

If I can hear the names of God, Jesus, words of hope, encouragement, or what the Lord has done in the lives of these young artists; then by all means, allow the “rhythm of the beat” to usher us into the presence of the Lord.

Sometimes, even when I’m listening to the radio, TV, or a church choir; I can’t understand the words coming from the mouths of some seasoned saints. It may be the acoustics in the room, or poor enunciation that does not enable me to understand the words of a song (thank God for overhead projectors & monitors). It’s usually the beat that grabs us first. There are many established and also some up & coming Christian artists who bring the name of Our Lord out into the world. We need to support them.

The world is being consumed with melodic lyrics of hate, disrespect, violence, immorality, impurity, cuss’in and other attributes of Gal.5: 19-21. Let’s allow the Fruit of the Spirit to flow through the airways, which proclaim the love of God. Let’s be open and not too judgmental. Let’s not Stop Praising His Name – by any means necessary — stop the violence.
Wellness Update

My skin continues to return to its original Christ-like state. The enemy tries to plague my mind through little sign of doubt (one day a lesion started coming back on my arms. The devil tries to work on your mind and that can transfer to your physical being); yet God’s Word has promised that “I am healed”. The heat sensation tried to arise again, nevertheless I am a conqueror through Christ Jesus; reciting healing scriptures caused the symptoms to desist. The elasticity is returning day by day. “It ain’t over until it’s over”. I am healed and I am whole by the Blood of the Lamb. “I’m feeling well because, I’m feeling God”.

As CeCe Winans sings from her new CD: “I’m tired of principalities messing with me (Waging war). I’m tired of the devil stealing from me (Waging war). I promise that he won’t get one more thing (Waging war). I’m taking it back, I'm taking territory (Waging war). I’m ready for the battle I’m ready to win (Waging war). My weapon of power, He lives within (Waging war). I can't be defeated, the enemy has gotta flee (waging war). I’m taking it back, I'm taking territory. Going into battle.”

Until next time, Be Blessed in Order to Be a Bigger Blessing.

I am Healed

Greetings,
I have a testimony. "I passed the Test". Read below. Please come
to my website. I update it often. Thank you for being who you are in my
life. Continue to be blessed in order to be a Bigger Blessing.
Yours in Christ,

I Believed The Report of My Lord

“I’m looking for a miracle. I expect the impossible. I feel the intangible. I see the invisible. The sky is the limit, to what I can have. Just believe and receive it, God will perform it today. If you believe & receive it, God will perform it today” (recorded by The Clark Sisters).

Well, here I am after 3 biopsies, 7 creams and potions, and numerous 25-mile trips to the Dermatologist; my report is that “I am healed”. The Doctors have ruled out what they thought my condition might have been (Systemic Lupus). My skin still shows some sign of ‘black spots’ and some ‘black areas’, but no more itching, rawness, or flaking of my face, neck, arms and hands. To secure my healing, I do use a sun umbrella during the hottest times of the day.
You probably say that I had a bad case of “Sunburn”, but if you were to see the pictures and talk to my husband (who knew my sun exposure & my daily appearance), you would know that this was not a bad case of ‘sunburn’.

Allow me to back up and explain. This skin condition had started back in October 2007, when I moved to Florida with my Hubby. The sun was not as intense as it is to me now, yet I broke out in a rash-like condition. My skin ‘burned’ from the inside out. No fever, just a hot, tingly sensation that started on the left side of my face. After many creams, pills and potions were prescribed – it cleared up. I was fine for about a month and then ‘wham’, the condition returned to my entire face. Back to the Doctors and now comes a referral to a specialist: a Dermatologist.
Earlier last month I had lost so much weight, I thought it had occurred for all the wrong reasons. No, I didn’t consider the ‘braces’, which are on my teeth, had altered my eating patterns. My daily writing had also curtailed my consumption of food. Walking our dog 3 times a day contributed to my shedding many pounds along with the heat and humidity of Florida. Now if only my muscle tone would come back. I had to pray my way through my thinking that even mosquitoes bites (Lord, why are they part of the food chain?) were a symptom of another debilitating ailment.
I have chosen to believe, to stick with, be convinced of and walk in the promises of God. The devil still tried to mess with my mind with doom and gloom especially when Mr. Tim Russert (NBC news) died of a heart attach recently (1950 – 2008): same age, yet I know whom I serve and whose I am. I’m not saying that he was not (see Bent But Not Broken - The Job Syndrome, A Spiritual Faith Diary).

God is opening doors for Ms. “V”. He’s a real gentleman. Now, I could elaborate more about the grace that God has granted, nonetheless, it will be told in future books to come. Which one? You’ll have to keep up with all the books by Ms. “V”.

This was written to encourage someone out there who needed to know that Our God is still blessing His people. All you have to do is be serious in what you believe, what you confess out of your mouth and how you walk your walk of Faith.

“Standing On The Promises of God”

In order for there to be a “testimony”, there usually are some “tests” that we must “go through”. My next book (Bent But Not Broken) deals with issues of “getting through” different situations in our day-to-day lives. God told me to post this weeks Blog because we must confess (let other know of) our “tests” (things that we may be ‘going through’ and expecting to ‘get out of’) in order for there to be rejoicing over our “testimonies”. It’s what I refer to as “The Job Syndrome”. Are you following me?

Since our move to Florida, my Husband and I are trusting God for our house in New Mexico to sell, so that we may purchase a home here. We are standing on God’s Word and expecting our blessing.

Now, we are standing on ‘scriptures of healing’ for a burning skin condition (I Pet.2: 24, Js.5: 16, Ish. 53: 5, Jer. 17: 14, Mat.8: 13, Mat.12: 15, Lk.8: 47, Acts 14: 9 and others). We bind up the enemy and all his imps, in the name of Jesus. Ministering Angels, we command you to direct the proposed buyers of our property to our house, in the name of Jesus. Thank you Father God for Your many blessings.

We know Rom.2: 11 says, “For there is no respect of persons with God”. What He did for others – He will do for me. I have a “knowing” that I am healed. Just as I know that I am saved (rescued from living a life of destruction); therefore that same ‘knowing’ realizes that I am waiting of a Manifestation (physical evidence) that I have received my healing of burning skin (and no, I do not sit out in the sun). I receive my healing in Jesus name and I will continue to give all the praise to God. I will continue to do my writing & helping others because God is in control and I will honor Him.

For any of you who are out there with unfavorable reports – don’t give up; don’t give in; and don’t take down. Just ask yourself, “Whose report am I going to believe? I will believe the report of the Lord”. As for me and my house – we will believe the report of the Lord.

"Look Deep Into The Mirror" May 29, 08

I've recently noticed that the older that I get, I don't look at myself in a
mirror as deeply as I use to. When I put on my make up or see a full view
of my entire countenance, I look over most of the new lines, wrinkles and
droops that were not as visible yesterday. If I were to concentrate on
every little bump, lump and imperfection, I'd be getting a "nip/tuck" every
year. Please don't let this be an excuse for finding a lump in your body
and not getting a Mammogram, Pap Smear or any other scheduled exam.
These schedules must be kept in order to keep up with the functioning of
these physical bodies of ours.

God looks beyond our faults and sees all our needs. God sees the Big
Picture and not the little imperfections we see in ourselves. He has a plan
for each of us, which was formed before we were born. It is our duty to
discover what that plan (or destiny) is and then 'get busy' with those
tasks. "Have fun getting it done - Let's get busy".
