“Lord, I had forgotten to thank You for my daughter
getting the part-time job that she wanted, but Father, she’s only a junior in
high school. I don’t want her to miss
out on her teenage years. I don’t want
to spoil her but to bless her with a used car.
She wants to be able to buy clothes, so she doesn’t have to wear the
same clothes over and over again. I know
other teens work, but Lord I don’t want her to have to work in order to get
some of the things she wants. I know
that this is the honest way and that she will be a stronger person for her
endeavors. I want her to enjoy her young
adult life as a teenager, yet it was a desire of her heart to work and go to
school. After-school jobs are okay, but
a students’ first and most important job should be bringing home good grades.”
