Rosenwald: Movie and Discussion – Wed., Feb. 1. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., Film at 7 p.m. |
Members and Non-Members $10. Registration required. Join the Museum for a special collaboration
with MOSH to present the film, Rosenwald. Hear the story of Julius Rosenwald, a
Jewish philanthropist who joined forces with Booker T. Washington and African
American communities to build more than 5,000 schools for African American
children. This film sheds light on a silent partner of the pre-Civil Rights
Movement, along with his ties to Jacksonville and artist Augusta Savage.
