‘Celtic Woman’ is back in JAX with a new violinist

Multi-platinum international music sensation, “Celtic Woman,” are returning to Jacksonville’s Times-Union Center on March 10th with The Voices Of Angels World Tour.  The tour will crisscross its way across North America with performances lined up in over 90 cities through the end of June and will feature audience favorites including music from the new album by the same name.

Celtic Woman has a remarkable twelve-year legacy of introducing the most talented singers and musicians from Ireland onto the world stage.  Voices Of Angels showcases the angelic voices of Susan McFadden, Mairéad Carlin, Éabha McMahon and introduces the breathtaking new Celtic violinist Tara McNeill.

Celtic Woman is a unique ensemble that showcases the talent and charisma of four gifted young Irish women, whose dazzling performances combine the sound and sensibility of Irish traditional music with contemporary pop standards and memorable original compositions.  The Voices Of Angels album (Manhattan/Caroline) contains some of the most popular songs from the Celtic Woman repertoire along with several previously unrecorded tracks, all with stunning new orchestral arrangements recorded with the 72-piece Orchestra of Ireland.

Since its formation in 2004, Celtic Woman has emerged as both a spectacular commercial success and a global cultural phenomenon. The group's uplifting mix of timeless tradition and contemporary craft has transcended national and cultural borders to touch the hearts of a devoted international fan base.  Following its debut on PBS in 2005, the group has achieved massive success encompassing ten chart-topping albums, eight DVDs and nine public television specials leading to sales of over ten million albums, with platinum success in nine countries.  Each of its ten CDs – including 2016’s Destiny - has debuted at #1 on Billboard's World Albums chart. The group has been named Billboard Magazine’s #1 World Albums Artist six times.

As a touring powerhouse, the group has performed for over four million fans across 23 countries and six continents, with an especially devoted following in America.  The show is renowned for its high-quality entertainment, exceptional musical performances and stunning visual productions, enthralling audiences of all ages.

Celtic Woman has won a dedicated and loyal band of followers in America, where their elaborately staged, visually stunning concert tours consistently draw sellout crowds.  Singing songs of love, loss, hope and inspiration, Celtic Woman celebrates the emotional resonance of Ireland's centuries-old musical and cultural heritage while taking advantage of the limitless options of state-of-the-art production.  The result is a breathtaking musical and theatrical experience to be enjoyed by multiple generations of concert goers.
