Oct. 6 - 8 p.m.— 4U A Symphonic Celebration of Prince with the Jacksonville Rock Symphony Orchestra. Created by Questlove (The Roots), 4U – A Symphonic Celebration of Prince is the first and only estate-approved celebration of the iconic musician and features his chart-topping hits “Purple Rain,” “Kiss,” “When Doves Cry,” and countless others.
Oct. 10 - 8 p.m. — Eddie Izzard: Believe Me Tour. British comedian Eddie Izzard earned two Emmy Awards for his concert special Dress To Kill. He has captivated audiences with stream of consciousness comedy- making lines like "Cake or Death?" and "Death Star Canteen" famous. He returns to reveal the man behind the stand-up in a tour that will be funny and emotional.
Oct. 11 - 8 p.m. — Benise “Feugo!” Spirit of Spain. Backed by a stage full of musicians and elaborately choreographed dancers, Emmy-Award winning Spanish guitarist Benise will debut all-new music, dance and costumes to his interpretations of classics like: "Granada,” Malaguena,” “Moonlight Sonata,” “Asturias,” and “Adagio." His newest TV special Feugo- Spirit of Spain can currently be seen on WJCT (Channel 8) check your local listing for air times.
Oct. 12 - 8 p.m. — Lord of The Dance: Dangerous Games Tour. Created and produced by Riverdance creator Michael Flatley, Lord of The Dance: Dangerous Games Tour uses ground-breaking technology, including dancing robots, to perform alongside 34 of the world’s greatest Irish dancers.
Oct. 13 - 8 p.m. — Mary Chapin Carpenter: Sometimes Just The Sky Tour. With hits like “Passionate Kisses” and “He Thinks He’ll Keep Her,” Mary Chapin Carpenter has won five Grammy Awards (with 15 nominations), two CMA awards, two Academy of Country Music awards and is a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Oct. 14 - 8 p.m. — Steep Canyon Rangers. Grammy-winning Bluegrass quintet, Steep Canyon Rangers has toured the world backing comedian and banjoist Steve Martin. Their debut album Nobody Knows You, peaked at #2 on the Billboard Bluegrass charts and features fan favorite songs “Rescue Me,” “Easy To Love,” and “As I Go.”
Oct. 20 - 9:30 a.m. TEDX Jacksonville — TEDxJacksonville 2018 comes to The Florida Theatre for Exchange: Conversations for the Curious. Join 12 live speakers, along with live music performances, dance, and more for the TEDxJacksonville conference. Your event ticket also includes a light breakfast, lunch either catered or at one of Jacksonville’s best downtown restaurants and the “Afterglow” party on Forsyth Street with beer, wine and heavy hors d’oeuvres.
Oct. 26 - 8 p.m. — Florida Theatre on the Road at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. Max Weinberg’s Jukebox. Using a video menu with more than 200 songs, like the Beatles "Come Together," and The Rolling Stones "Jumpin' Jack Flash, Bruce Springsteen’s long-time drummer, Max Weinberg, and his 4-piece band let audience members call out the rock and roll classics they perform. Tickets may be purchased through Ticketmaster.
Oct. 27 - 8 p.m. — Rocky Horror Picture Show hosted by Karissa Wade with live music by The Party Cartel from 8 p.m. - 9 p.m. With all-new digital picture and sound, the ultimate Halloween movie returns! Starring Tim Curry, Barry Bostwick, Susan Sarandon and Meat Loaf, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, is considered among the most popular cult movies of all time. Wear your costumes, bring your props (no meat, please), and come early for the live music.
Oct. 28 4 p.m. KidzBop Live! The KIDZ BOP Kids will perform some of today’s biggest hit songs like "Meet Me In The Middle," "Thunder," Sorry Not Sorry," and more.
