‘Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias’ appearing in JAX


Comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias will be performing at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, FL on December 3, 2021. This is part of his all new 2021 Beyond The Fluffy World Tour –Go Big or Go Home.

Iglesias is one of a handful of comedians with the distinct honor to headline and sell out the Staples Center, Madison Square Garden and the Sydney Opera House. In addition to being one of America’s most successful stand-up comedians, Iglesias is also one of the most watched comedians on YouTube with over half a billion views and has over 24 million fans across social media. He was recently featured in The Hollywood Reporter’s Top 40 Comedy Players of 2018 issue alongside comedy giants Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock and Lorne Michaels.

“There is still no greater thrill for me than to perform standup live, I’m so excited for this tour and to reconnect with all my fans, it’s going to be Fluffy-licious,” Iglesias says regarding the tour.

Iglesias is the star and Executive Producer of the Netflix multi-cam comedy series Mr. Iglesias. Iglesias plays a good-natured public high school teacher who works at his alma mater. He takes on teaching gifted but misfit kids to not only save them from being “counseled out” by a bully bureaucrat Assistant Principal, but also to help them unlock their full potential. Mr. Iglesias Part 1-3 is currently streaming.

The actor/comedian also host Nickelodeon’s new comedic competition show, Unleashed (10 episodes). The series brings the most impressive animal acts together to compete on-stage in front of a kid jury and celebrity judges Peyton List, Preacher Lawson, and Utkarsh Ambudkar for the title of “Most Entertaining Pet” of the night.

In addition to the TV series, Iglesias’s most recent comedy special is streaming worldwide on Netflix. The special, One Show Fits All, was filmed in front of a sold-out audience at the Toyota Center in Houston. His third special for the network will tape sometime in 2021. Both of these specials are follow-ups to his highly successful 2017 Netflix special I’m Sorry For What I Said When I Was Hungry.

Iglesias’ prior television appearances include: Comedy Central’s hit series ‘Stand-Up Revolution’ and the comedy special ‘Gabriel Iglesias: Aloha Fluffy’, an unprecedented two-night comedy special generating over 15 million viewers. The special was a follow-up to his previous DVD specials, ‘Hot & Fluffy’ and ‘I’m Not Fat...I’m Fluffy’, which have sold millions of copies.

In the feature film arena, Iglesias starred in STXfilm’s animated feature ‘Ugly Dolls’. His other film credits include: ‘A Haunted House 2’, ‘Show Dogs’, ‘Magic Mike’, ‘Magic Mike XXL’ and the animated films ‘Coco’, ‘Ferdinand’, ‘The Star’, ‘Smurfs: The Lost Village’, ‘Norm of the North’, ‘The Book of Life’, ‘The Nut Job’ and Disney’s ‘Planes’. In 2021, he will be voicing the character ‘’Speedy Gonzales in the highly anticipated film, “Space Jam: A New Legacy” in theater and streaming on HBO MAX July 16. ‘Katt Williams World War III Tour’ soon in JAX

Comedy titan and Emmy® Award-winning actor, Katt Williams, announces his World War III Tour is coming to Jacksonville. Performing at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena on August 27 at 8 p.m., Williams brings his unparalleled talents to the stage with new material that blends sidesplitting comedy with thought-provoking social commentary.

With a career spanning over 20 years, Williams has earned a worldwide reputation as one of today's top entertainers, having developed a career seeded with thousands of sold-out arenas, an expansive list of starring roles on the small screen and memorable performances in major box office hits. Stand-up comedian “Bob Saget” in JAX for one night only


Beloved stand-up comedian, producer, director and actor “Bob Saget” is best-known for his role as Danny Tanner on the long-running sitcom Full House, and the Netflix-released Full House spinoff series Fuller House. Bob was also the host of America’s Funniest Home Videos from 1989 to 1997, made critically-acclaimed cameos in the HBO series Entourage and was the narrative voice on How I Met Your Mother. Bob Saget will be in Jacksonville, at the Florida Theatre on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at 8 p.m.

Yes, Bob Saget has starred in many successful television shows, including two of the most family-friendly shows network TV has ever produced, but he’s also been an out of his mind, Grammy-nominated stand-up comedian for over thirty years. From his HBO special That Ain’t Right to his scene-stealing cameos in Entourage and The Aristocrats, it’s always effective as Saget embraces his dark side.

Writer and director of ‘The Evil Dead’ coming to JAX


The Florida Theatre is pleased to announce a conversation with actor, producer, writer and director “Bruce Campbell” plus a screening of “The Evil Dead” on Friday, July 30, 2021 at 7:30 p.m. Join actor, producer, writer and director Bruce Campbell in a viewing of the 1981 Sam Raimi-directed cult-classic horror film The Evil Dead. Campbell will follow up the viewing with a lively conversation about the film, his career, his future endeavors and a question-and-answer session with the audience.

Campbell is best known for his recurring role as Ash Williams in Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead franchise, which began with the 1978 short film Within the Woods. He has also starred in many cult films such as Crimewave (1985), Maniac Cop (1988), Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat (1989), and Bubba Ho-Tep (2002).

In television, Campbell has starred inThe Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. (1993–94) and Jack of All Trades (2000), and a recurring role as Autolycus, King of Thieves, in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Xena: Warrior Princess (1995–99). He played Sam Axe on the USA Network series Burn Notice (2007–13) and reprised his role as Ash Williams on the Starz series Ash vs. Evil Dead (2015–18).

Campbell started his directing career with Fanalysis (2002) and A Community Speaks (2004), and then with the horror comedy feature films Man with the Screaming Brain (2005) and My Name Is Bruce (2007), the latter being a spoof of his career. He can also be seen as the role of the father in The Escort (2015).

As of May 26, 2021, it has been announced that another Evil Dead sequel Evil Dead Rise is coming to HBO Max with Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell executive producing.

‘Rodney Carrington’ is coming to JAX as promised

The Florida Theatre is pleased to announce that comedian, actor and writer “Rodney Carrington” will perform on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Rodney is a multi-talented comedian, actor, singer and writer playing sold-out shows around the world as one of the top 10 highest-grossing touring comedians for the past two decades.

A platinum-recording artist, Rodney's recorded eight major record label comedy albums, followed by three albums on his own record label, Laughter's Good Records. His last album Here Comes the Truth (released 2017) climbed to number 3 on the comedy charts, accruing tens of millions of streams on Spotify and even spawned a Netflix special.

Rodney broke through with his major label comedy CD debut Hangin' With Rodney in 1998. The next few years saw nine more Top 10 comedy albums: LiveMorning WoodNutsackGreatest HitsKing of the MountainsEl Nino LocoC'mon Laugh You BastardsLaughter's Good and The Hits, all of which continue to receive radio airplay and regularly place on the national comedy charts. Hangin' With Rodney and Morning Wood earned RIAA gold record certification, and his Greatest Hits (a double CD) album reached platinum status. Rodney also released Make it Christmas which features his original song “Camouflage and Christmas Lights," a tribute to our military.

Rodney also added "author" to his list of accomplishments with the release of his book Rodney Carrington, Coming Clean published by Hatchette Books.

Over the years, he's starred in his own TV sitcom, Rodney, which ran for two seasons on ABC, co-wrote and co-starred with Toby Keith in the feature film, Beer for My Horses, which won the Tex Ritter Award from the ACM, and starred in his own Netflix special Here Comes The Truth. Rodney's also appeared on countless other TV shows, including the ACA (American Country Awards), hosting the American Country New Year's Eve Live show on FOX, and won "Supporting Character of the Year” from the CMT Music Video Awards for his appearance on the Trace Adkins' music video “I Got My Game On."

‘Bill Engvall’ comes to OP once again


Bill Engvall is back by popular demand and is presented by Thrasher-Horne Center and brought to you by Garber Automall.  After two highly successful, almost sold-out shows, this will be Bill Engvall’s third appearance at the Thrasher-Horne Center.

Bill Engvall is a Grammy nominated, multiplatinum comedian and actor. Most recently, Bill was featured in the horror movie “The Neighbor” which was released January 2018.  In 2017, Bill released the comedy special Just Sell Him for Parts. Bill was a contestant on season 17 of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, and as a fan favorite, he made it to the finals.  In 2013, Bill lent his voice to the animated comedy series Bounty Hunters, which aired on CMT.

Bill previously starred in, and executive produced, the TBS sitcom The Bill Engvall Show.  He was part of the enormously successful Blue-Collar Comedy concert films, which sold over nine million units and received a Grammy nomination.  He also starred on the WB’s hit sketch comedy show Blue Collar TV and in several solo specials for Comedy Central.  In 2012, he reunited with Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy on the Them Idiots Whirled Tour, which aired as a special on CMT.

Bill’s first album, “Here’s Your Sign,” is certified platinum and held the #1 position on the Billboard Comedy Chart for 15 straight weeks.  His second album, “Dorkfish,” also debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Comedy Chart, as did his subsequent comedy albums.  Bill has written several books, including his 2007 autobiography “Bill Engvall –Just A Guy”.
