‘Miracle On Ashley’ continues through COVID-19

It's that time of year again and the mission is counting on you!  The Clara White Mission’s 26th Annual Miracle On Ashley Street  is happening…but with a unique twist.  On Friday, May 15 at 11 a.m. they are hosting "Pop Your Trunk, Get A Miracle On The Go!"

Farm Share, Chartwells and Sysco, have partnered with them to provide hot meals and miracle bags for homeless veterans and low in-come residents.

They couldn’t allow the Coronavirus to prevent the Clara White Mission from bridging the gap and serving the community.  You can help too, from a safe distance of course.  Here's how:

Pre-Thanksgiving Luncheon benefits JAX homeless

The Clara White Mission, Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation, Celebration Church and Radio Stations 93.3/V101.5, will sponsor the 22nd Annual “Feed the City” Pre-Thanksgiving Luncheon.  Santa Claus will make a special appearance, distribution of clothing, free haircuts and bike repair will be available.  Over 250 community volunteers will serve lunch to over 1000 homeless and low-income families in recognition of this auspicious occasion.

The Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation will present a $41,000 gift and employees will serve the homeless at the Clara White Mission.  The gift from Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation will address food insecurity in Northeast Florida. The donation is part of a program – called Fill Your Tank – that celebrates Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s 60th anniversary by providing $60 million over six years to fight hunger around the globe. The Fill Your Tank program donations made locally are determined by local Enterprise operations.

Beyond donations, Enterprise Rent-A-Car is supporting the Fill Your Tank program with a hunger awareness and local engagement campaign. Hunger is often invisible and the campaign helps make hunger in our communities more visible.

In presenting the donation, Dave LaMonte, Vice President and General Manager for Enterprise in Northeast Florida, said, “Enterprise Rent-A-Car is woven into the fabric of this community and food insecurity is an issue for our community. This donation to The Clara White Mission will support those in our area who need a little help to reach to their full potential.”
