New COVID-19 ways these days

Recently I had the opportunity to travel outside my state and see that there are some similarities and some differences now-a-days.  I have noticed that businesses are more respectful to you when you approach their counter while donning a face cover.

Alcohol is being purchased more during the week instead of just on the weekends.  Could it be because people are home more and tired of being cooped up in their homes?  Hopefully it’s not because of being around the same people. Get use to it!  You married them and/or you created them.  You might want to virally chat respectfully with others (don’t start questionable “chat rooms” like there use to be in AOL), learn a new hobby or pastime with your family, work in separate rooms if possible, exercise from a video or just take a walk.  Masks are NOT required in your home or in the open air (backyards, meals of 10 or less [I say 2]).

I’ve always used Lysol spray or wipes to disinfect surfaces on airplanes and hotel rooms (television remote, hotel phone, and anything that you think that housekeeping might have omitted), and even now more than ever. Needless to say, I’m not going to clean the room behind a housekeeper (that’s what the front desk or a report to corporate is for), but I will safeguard me and mine on the front side.

As you can see in the video, hotel breakfasts are a little different too (this meal was good).  No establishment wants to be sued because you caught Coronavirus from being in their place of eating, worshiping, grooming, purchasing, or whatever

For those offended by the phrase “New Normal”, let’s call this pandemic experience #NewAbnormal
๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜ท ๐Ÿงผ.  It’s time to get off your high horse. It’s a realm of new beginnings.  You must adhere to change in order to stay alive and/or not to infect others with a virus.  Some may not have been around when measles, chickenpox and polio was rampant in our society years ago; we were use to quarantining.  Those old enough may have experienced something like this years ago.  There have been Outbreaks, Plagues and other Viruses in the history of time.  We are almost at that point again.

Those who are young and figure that “This will NEVER happen to me”, may want to reconsider the possibilities.  Don’t gamble on your health, life; or the health and lives of others.  And also, it wouldn’t hurt for our children to donn masks in order to protect them from COVID-19 or the new Kawasaki disease.

#CautiousButNotCrazy, #WiseYetHarmless, #WashYourHands, #FactsNotFear, #PrayedUp, #StaySafe, #FaithOverFear, #FactsAndFaith, #TBR (Trust,Believe, Receive - from God)

“I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.” Philippians 4:12 KJV.

Just like those on Social Media, people are going to have their differences.  It once was the Hatfields against the McCoys, Protestants against Catholics, Jews against Gentiles, Democratic against Republicans; and now it’s those who want to Wear Masks
๐Ÿ˜ท and those who Don’t Want to be Told What to Do ๐Ÿ˜ผ.  No matter where you stand, it’s always a way to voice your opinion without getting nasty, uncaring and disrespectful to others.

Sure we must go back to living our lives, nonetheless, COVID-19 is real and you don’t want someone you know and/or love to convince you that it’s NOT a joke.  And one last thing: please stop disposing of your masks and gloves in parking lots or shopping carts; that’s just nasty.  It’s like seeing a used needle or prophylactic on the side of the road.  Stay safe and think of others.

Super Bowl commercials 2013 VOTE!

The Baltimore Ravens earned their second trip to Disneyland with their (34 – 31) win against the San Francisco 49ers (who already won the prestigious Vince Lombardi Trophy 5 times), in the 47th 2013 Super Bowl.  But that’s not what this story is all about.  Nor is it about how the lights went out for the second time, in a stadium located in Louisiana.

We would like to know, “What was your favorite Super Bowl 2013 COMMERCIAL?”  If you missed some of the 47+ commercials that aired during Sunday night’s football game, click here to see what you missed.  Then place your VOTE in the “comment” section, for the BEST commercial and tell us WHY you liked that particular station-break advertisement.  Also let us know what you think was the WORST commercial and WHY.

Oh, by the way, what did you think of the performances from Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Dentiny’s Child and “All The Single Ladies” who graced the stage?  What a tribute to “Women of Color” everywhere.

Place your VOTE below, and don’t forget to read “Being Critical”.

Being Critical
Critique, don’t criticize.  When weighing a situation, the questions that we should ask ourselves should be, “Why is the good, good?  How do I make the better even better?  Where is Jesus in this particular situation?  Do we need to add a little more Jesus?”

Why don’t we tell people, “I love the Jesus in you”?  Now, if Jesus isn’t there, I’ll love the person anyway, and hope that He will be manifested in their life very soon.  “Let’s find Jesus in others, and, hopefully, let others see that He’s showing up in our lives too.”
